Group Career Counselling for International Students

Join the Student Success Centre for small group sessions for help and guidance in finding and keeping employment in Canada. Registration for 'Group Career Counselling for Graduate International Students' for the Winter 2016 term will open in January 2016. The dates/time for group career counselling this winter term will be:
·         For graduate students-every Wednesday
·         For undergraduate students- every Thursday
from 12:30-3:30pm, for 8 consecutive weeks, beginning in February, 2016 and finishing at the end of March, 2016.
 
Participants:
15 Undergraduate and 15 graduate international students close to graduation looking for non-academic employment in Canada.
 
Topics:
Self-awareness, adjustment, culture shock, how to identify and market your skills, networking and interview strategies, how to succeed in the Canadian workplace.
 
Length:
This program consists of eight sessions, each 3 hours in length. Participants are expected to attend all eight sessions.
 
Day/Time:
Wednesday or Thursday from 12:30pm - 3:30pm
 
Dates:
8 consecutive weeks, beginning in February 2016 and ending at the end of March, 2016
 
Location:
The Student Success Centre, UCC 210, Seminar Room
 
Registration Deadline:
Registration is open on January 5th, 2016 and closes on January 25th, 2016. All registered students are expected to attend an Information Session on January 27/2016 (for graduate students) and on January 28 (for undergraduate students).
