International Arrival 2020

Welcome. This website is for new or returning students arriving from outside of Canada to begin the Fall 2020 term at Western University.

Current Government of Canada regulations require that anyone arriving from outside of Canada must self-quarantine for 14 days.

QUARANTINE INSTRUCTIONS

Below are some links to register for quarantine accommodations, information on airport transportation and other support needs.

If you are in need of financial assistance to help with costs associated with quarantine, you may apply for the International Student Bursary through the Office of the Registrar. This bursary is open to both undergraduate and graduate students for Fall 2020.

Apply for Bursary

You may require additional support even if you are planning to self-quarantine in your pre-arranged housing for the term or year. Western will provide information on local service-providers and will organize volunteer support and virtual connection as much as possible during the quarantine period. Please fill out the contact form so we know how to reach you.

Off Campus Quarantine Contact Form

Note: Currently, only students with valid study permits on or before March 18, 2020 are exempt from travel restrictions and allowed to enter Canada. Students must also prove that travel to Canada is essential.

If you are an international student who has in-person degree requirements AND you are exempt from the current travel restrictions, you can request a letter of support from Western to assist with arrival in Canada.

If your off-campus accommodations are not suitable for self-quarantine, please register for off-campus quarantine accommodations. REGISTRATION AVAILABLE NOW. Book by August 31, 2020.
See our FAQ for more details

Note: the deadline has passed to register for early-move in for self-quarantine. Please contact housing@uwo.ca regarding your quarantine arrangements.
