Volunteer with Western International

Every year, the International and Exchange Student Centre (IESC) and Western International recruit hundreds of volunteers who assist with the coordination, planning and implementation of activities and programs. Students can also volunteer with our department through the Western Peer Leader Program.


Current Volunteer Opportunity:
International Student Orientation 2022

Are you looking to gain intercultural experience and wish to strengthen your leadership skills? Support incoming graduate and undergraduate international students settle in London, answer questions, and help them navigate their start at Western. Help us kick off the best university experience possible!  

Why volunteer? 

  • Recognition on Western’s Co-Curricular Record. 
  • Gain experience to achieving the Global and Intercultural Engagement Honour. 
  • Free meals provided to volunteers supporting orientation events where food is served.
  • Make new connections and friends on our orientation volunteer team. 

What you need to succeed in this role: 

  • Attend one of our volunteer training sessions in person on August 25 or August 27 (lunch will be provided). 
  • Bring a positive attitude and a desire to support new students. 
  • Sign up for one or more shifts during our international orientation (August 30 to September 3, 2022).
