Orientation Activities

Students sitting on steps

The IESC offers year-round orientation activities to help international students meet new friends, get involved in campus life and become familiar with Canadian culture. Our events calendar is also full of opportunities for new international students to settle in, adjust to life in Canada and at Western, receive support and meet new friends.

International Student Orientation

For students beginning studies for the Fall 2021 term, Orientation resources and information are now available to you virtually. Whether you are beginning your studies in Canada or from abroad, you will be able to participate in all orientation programming being offered by the International and Exchange Student Centre and other campus partners.

Orientation programming includes virtual information sessions, online modules, and opportunities to connect with fellow students remotely.

Access Fall 2021 International Student Orientation online to learn more about Western and Canadian culture, unwritten rules of the Canadian classroom, key academic values in Canada, important immigration information, wellness and safety tips, getting and staying connected remotely, and so much more!
