The Amazing Race is here! 

Our International Orientation Assistants are running across campus to explore cool spots and complete challenges to win swag for welcome bags for new international and exchange students. Join us for this five episode video series to discover locations on campus.

Episode 1: The Boundary Layer Wind Tunnel Laboratory


The first stop is at the Boundary Layer Wind Tunnel Laboratory, the birthplace of the modern practice of wind engineering.

Watch the video as they take a tour there and see if they can unlock the surprise for new international and exchange students.

Episode 2: Western Greenhouse and Community Garden


In this episode, our International Orientation Assistants take a tour at Western Greenhouse and plant vegetables at the community garden to get closer to nature.

Episode 3: McIntosh Gallery and Sculpture Garden


In this episode, our International Orientation Assistants visit the sculpture garden around the McIntosh Gallery and go on a hunt to explore art around campus.

Finale: Solar Viewing and Stargazing


The Amazing Race Season 2 comes to an end as International Orientation Assistants Wajd and Shagun experience solar viewing and stargazing at the Hume Cronyn Observatory on campus.

Throughout the summer, they have taken us to Boundary Layer Wind Tunnel Laboratory, green house and community garden, McIntosh Gallery and sculpture garden, and finally the Hume Cronyn Observatory.

There are many cool spots waiting for you to explore as you start your journey at Western- have fun!
